Default 991.1 exhaust recommendations

I have a 991.1 with PSE.

looking for an improvement in sound and some hp would be nice. no drone
something closer to a GT3 sound or deeper more exotic sounding if possible. not looking to spend big $$ for top tier brand.

good reviews for switchpath AWE and kline
is there any point to get the full system in terms of sound, big difference?

what are the prices for these.
I found online kline for $4k
awe switchpath for $2k

what is the best option or band for buck change?
xpipe or mufflers?
also, which result in the most improvements in HP?
which will be the least likely to impact warranty in the future?

some vendors claim 15 to 30 hp increase in the midrange.
any members do their own dynos to verify?

I'm a huge fan of my AWE system and would recommend it to anyone looking for increased sound and performance. At WOT the car absolutely screams. Build quality of the system is awesome. Although I have not had the opportunity to dyno the car yet, I does feel like it pulls a bit harder. AWE claims a peak gain of 20HP/25TQ.

Fabspeed also makes a similar system, and looks to be great quality as well, however I don't have first hand experience with it. Either way, valvetronic X pipe systems are the way to go IMHO. Good luck!

Below are vids of my car after the install:

thanks for the feedback.
whats the install cost for the awe switchpath?

is the price for switchpath xpipe $2500 and kline full cat back $4k?
not a big price difference.
any thoughts on the which would be the better choice in terms of sound and performance? since cost differential is not too bad

anyone in the GTA with either exhaust?? love to hear them in person before deciding.

Honestly you can install the switchpath yourself very easily, or if you pay someone to do it it'll be around $200-$300. I personally got mine through TAG Motorsports, and had planned on doing a self install, but they hooked me up on a deal + install that I couldn't refuse. They currently have the system listed on thier site for $2,195.00 (excludes AWE polished tips, add $500 for the tips)

As far as sound is concerned, I have not heard a better sounding system, and if loud is what you want, go with the AWE. The Kline system still has center mufflers where the AWE does not.

Any tips?
any special tools? Can you leave the car on the ground?

I agree with the "epic" comment on the Kline. I have the Kline Iconel. It is an awesome piece of workmanship and the sound is intoxicating. For me it sounds more like what a Porsche should sound like. Loud when pushed, gritty but not muscle car loud. Could not be happier. Try to hear one in person. There's a reason why it's not cheaper.

Yes, you can leave the car on the ground - I did my own install as well. Although it might be possible to swap with the bumper still on, I took it off, and also ended up loosening the heat shield a bit to give space to drop the center muffler.

As was noted above, it wasn't a bad project to install the AWE exhaust. The plenum was much more difficult. I think it took me around 4 hours for the exhaust, including a run to Ace Hardware, as all 4 (!!) of the bolts holding the clamps between the center muffler and side mufflers broke when I put some torque on them. $3 in parts, all good. If you've put any miles on your car or drive in winter, I'd imagine those bolts will be badly corroded for you, too.

I have had 100% satisfaction form guys on the Kline. With this option you are getting 4 tuned mufflers, valves and the Kline 1D X Pipe. It's a work of art and sounds like it looks! Would be glad to help with anything if I can.

Shown in Inconel 625 with optional Carbon tips...

Is the iconel worth the premium?
is the sound essentially the same?

ipe F1 does sound like a F1 car and gt3 like.
is it too loud for DD?

The Iconel exhausts are lighter and weight reduction is a good thing. As far as sound I don't know what you give up not being Iconel but I do know what you get which is really great sound. I'm not into loud for being loud . This exhaust will scream but the sound is just rich and guttural.
