Not at all. Over 4K rpm it's glorious. With the valves closed it's not as intense as the video suggests. I believe the video is also with Charles's headers.

As R-Rated eluded to it isn't too loud for daily driving, especially when the valves are closed.

iPE (along with Akrapovic) is the exhaust brand that I get the most repeat customers for. If you can stretch out your budget ever so slightly this would be the system to do it for.

I have Fi Exhaust full system with header which is pretty much the same with IPE and Armytrix. All made in Taiwan. They all sound great, particularly sounds awesome after 4000 rpm, it just opens up. I use my 991 as daily drive, turning PSE off when wifey in car, she hasn't complained.

if you looking HP gain, for me Akropovic, is the only way!

Does the inconel sound exactly the same as stainless steel?
I have a hard time paying $7-10k on an exhaust for slightly better sound than xpipe for $2k.
also I'm in Canada so I add 30% due to weak dollar.

it's difficult to find used ones for sale!

I went for Inconel over stainless for the weight difference and expected very slight difference in sound. Having only one system, sorry I can not comment on an exact comparision. I'm not surprised there are no systems showing up on the used market. FWIW, my philosophy on the purchase was "buy once, cry once" .

Most 991.1 exhausts aren't too different and are messengers of the flat 6 which is such an iconic sound. There will be a much more diverse suite of sound options for the .2 since the turbos mute so much of the engine sound. I've yet to hear any 991.1 exhaust that I didn't like or see any threads with any derogatory comments on the sound. Buy the marketing that you identify with on the 991.1 from a sound manufacturer and you'll love the exhaust and your car that much more.

They look identical.

I appreciate the reference Code, and I agree the Valvetronic X-pipe design on the 991.1 has been very successful. Every time a 991 comes through the shop I make it a point to stand outside and listen to it leave haha. Below are some pictures/video of the X-Pipe systems we make for the PSE cars. If anyone has any questions or interested please feel free to reach out to me at any time!

All that money and the tips don't even taper to the pipes? That looks really poor.
