Default Porsche doesn't exist. What are you driving?

If Porsche didn't exist, what would you be driving? Assume the same general price range as the Porsche you have now.

I think I would have bought a F430 Scuderia. I can get one for around $210k. A stretch relative to what I paid for my GT3, but that is the only non-Porsche car that really gets me excited.

No other choices that tick all the boxes for me. I might be interested in the Lotus Evora 410, as it has great steering (better than Porsche), Manual gearbox, and Euro Delivery. But it also is seriously lacking in several areas compared to Porsche (notably the Toyota engine and gearbox).

If I could live with paddles and an oversized cabin, I would consider the AMG GT R.

Probably an M4 GTS or M2. Definitely a BMW M car though.

AMG GTS, R8, 458/488, 570. I think lots of fun cars. I still think the 911 series is the best overall choice.

Good question. As Grant stated, it's hard to find another manufacturer that ticks all the boxes for me, especially in the same price range. I was a big BMW fan but the newer ones don't interest me that much for some reason. I've owned Lotus so maybe an Exige or Evora. Or maybe an R8.

Corvette looks interesting on paper but I haven't driven one in years so I don't know if it would actually be appealing to drive and own. I'm glad Porsche DOES exist.
