I am actually curious to see what this new GT3 does to 991.1. RS prices. Wouldn't be surprised if the new GT3 prices are ridiculous, while simultaneously pulling down RS prices a bit. And I wouldn't be surprised if .1 GT3 prices soften as much as RS prices do, % wise. But...who knows?

991.2GT3 will be 10% more expanisve than .1 i guess. Same as it was with the 997. I think it was even more than 10% back than.

991.1GT3RS prices will drop. because 991.2GT3 will be better. I guess even over 500hp numbered. in EU MSRP minus 20k.
991.1GT3 will drop too. but not below 100k as manifold guesses too. now you can buy a superb one for 130k.

things should be normal. guys have to buy cars because it is fun not for money. for many owner the fun dies as soon the value rises.
each year some thousands less (which is still very good) and everybody can concentrate to enjoy the spent money.
Interesting to see what happens, the EU prices are normal which is good. Not sure on 130k, I sold my GT3 2015 144k to a dealer late October, and my trade sold last month north of what they paid me for the car. MSRP was 152k.

Sorry for not having read all 17 pages.
I think prices for the R will come way way down. When 991.2gt3 is out.

For the US...

997.1 gt3 = $106,795
997.2 gt3 = $113,150
+6.0% (actually lower than what i quoted)

Going from 997 --> 991 is irrelevant for predicting 991.2 pricing

Even the GTS (991.1 to 991.2) with its massive performance upgrade only got a 2.9% increase in the US at least

Just sayin'

Will go down another 10% - 15% of what they're selling for now.

i was also guessing with 10% to high at 997 ChicagoM4, no question.

but i think it will happen.
GTS request is not GT3 request. far away from it.
the guys who are settle the prices are no enthusiasts. they are math/statistic lovers. they are accountants. paid for reaching higher margins and profit.

NA pricing from EU producers is generaly a bit unfair. tax cleared i´m speaking.
same when we look into BMW pricing policy...
except Ferrari i think.

but good for most of the RL´isters!

White RS sold in Florida the last 2 days with 600 miles and Red brakes for 265. RS market is so odd.

You have the a'bahn which balances it out

Speaking of unfair pricing... went to a Porsche dealership in Beijing last week while visiting my wife's parents and a 718 Cayman S was ~1,000,000rmb or $145,000 USD. I knew it was going to be higher but damn

edit to your edit: if they really want to make money on their 911s, why not up the msrp on their C2 and C2S since it is their bread and butter. GT cars are relatively low volume and will not make or break profitability. Heck, the 911 range only makes up ~13% of total sales. Up the prices on Macans is a better strategy

i´m with you.

but on the other 991 from N/A to turbo (same with the GTS) they couldn´t increase their price higher. based on the main market idea of having now a "cheaper not so desirable" engine.

the GT3 if true is getting a 4.0 NA.
(the 9krpm is bs i think)

manual!
everybody is hot for it! aren´t we?

even 997 RS will trop a bit (back to normal)
also 997 4.0 will adjust.

curious, is the hype now bigger for the 991 mkII gt3 than what it was for the 997 mkII gt3? I was in college at the time and hadn't a clue

Doubt if we see the 997 4.0 drop. That is a very special engine!

Talking about price increase in the US. The currency exchange is about 20-30% better for the European produced cars than it was 2010.
Trump will make them 35% more expensive.
So good time to buy.

yes exactly. The US Dollar is in a roaring bull market (getting stronger) and it should challenge the old 1985 highs. Porsche doesn't have to increase the GT3 one penny and it's already indirectly raised the price 30%.
