Apart from the wing, I was initially concerned about the RWS- would it be reliable? would it feel intrusive? Now I don't even think about it.

I also had strong opinions about decals and associated them with schoolboy racers and in your face louts. Here I am with a huge wing...with decals!

Echoing others - I'm a PDK convert. I enjoyed F1 in my 360 but avoided PDK. I love it now and wouldn't want a manual GT3. Would buy a GT4 in an instant if I could to get the best of both worlds. But only owning one - I want the paddles.

Everything I initially criticized about the GT3 remains and I would still want them to change: manual, CLs, hydraulic steering, 20s. IOW, my opinions have been reinforced, not changed.

Are you stating the above from experience of owning the 991 GT3 and living with it?

Yes. And living with it has made me realize a few other things as well... wing placement is poor, not big enough, etc. I could go on.

So much about the car is subjective and about personal preferences, I understand and appreciate your comments.

Why haven't you sold it? Also, I think it's safe to assume your not on the list for the .2 version.

Haven't found a suitable replacement. If the .2 comes with a manual then we'll see.

Good news is there's an awesome Gt3 out there that fits your desires perfectly. It's called a 997. And while the 991 platform is amazing, it will definitely disappoint if you want it to be a 997 (have to go 7.1 to avoid CL's, but still).

I hear the 997 is much more uncomfortable from the 991.

It's interesting : when someone has a different opinion in a thread that should've been titled " I need to justify my purchase ",he gets " shot down ". They'll first start with the classical " do you own one " and then end up sending you " to buy a 997 " because the pdk " suits the 991 better ". So basically you should accept a compromise and no warranty.

Nothing here is about justifying ones purchase. It's simply a discussion about what we thought, and what we experienced and therefore changed our opinion on. It's simple to understand.

Everyone is entitled to have their opinion, just as I am in giving this thread the title I choose. It is as I want it.

Re "do you own one", I simply wanted to find out which perspective the poster was airing his views from.

Let's not debate your post please. Start another one for your issue if you must.
