Found this earlier today - delightful reading for those who have ever experienced 'the joy' of correcting a PO's neglect.

Wow. Perfect example why I have never gone down the road of buying a car remotely. Of course that limits the selection.

• Genuine Porsche deep bucket sport seats. Very hard to find in this color

Items that need attention:

Car has developed a coolant leak on the passenger floor, most likely the heater core is leaking.
Center console screw post under the ashtray has broken. It's best to simply replace this console. It is held by the other screws but the ash tray will not lock in place.

brake pad wear sensors needs replacing. This is $6.00 at Paragon.

Glove box drops freely when released. The arm that stops it has broken. It does close and lock securely.

Some light scratches along the rear fender above the wheel. I do think in the hands of a professional a buffer will take them out.

The alarm needs reprograming. I have the directions but haven't gotten around to doing it. Its not easy.

The roof antenna needs to be replaced.

The service history. I have over $6,000 in professional service and genuine Porsche parts invested in this car, therefore it runs like it should.
Please copy and paste this link to see a video of the car.

His name sounds familiar. Not sure if I 100% agree with the buyers expectations. I mean, what do you expect for $9500?. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. There is no such thing as a nice sub $10k 968. In that price range, you will find ignored and neglected cars. Doesn't mean that they can't be made nice. Just have to keep the expectations in check.

Hey Guys,
I'm glad to see my site being shared. The more people that follow it the more I want to work on the car and write about it.

I agree with your statement when the price is taken into consideration. In the end my expectations were set based on what the seller stated and more importantly, what the PPI found. In hindsight I would have done the purchase much differently. If I would have known what I know now about the car, I would have never bought it. But then I wouldn't have opportunity to make it right again and share my experiences with you guys.

Thanks for the support!

Looks like it is going well!

Just so you know, the glue on these cars is notorious for being some of the worst to remove.

I added a new post a couple days ago mapping out the factory and aftermarket alarm. Check it out!
