Question Do you suffer from Headlight Bumper Gap?

I've got something for you.

Like you the gap on my left headlight was a few mm wider than my right and was driving me *$%&ing nuts.

I even took off the bumper to see if it was sagging or any pieces were broken. Couldn't find anything.

Then I got smrt. I popped out the headlights and found these.

How to:
There are three level adjustments that lower or raise the headlight mount allowing you to "lower" the headlight to close the gap.

One is 10mm and the other two are 18mm.

Loosen the chosen nut all the way off.

From there you can slightly lift up the headlight mount enough to use your finger to lower or raise the nut underneath that the bracket sits on. There's about 2-3mm of vertical movement available.

Presto!

Excellent to know! There are quite a few threads on the gap but nothing ever describing how to fix it!

Those nuts may be the ones used to adjust the night level of the head lamps. Make sure you are not blinding drivers approaching you when you are on dipped headlights. I would have the level tested via a testing station.

The workshop manual explains how to check the headlight level. All you need is a wall from memory.

I tried this, it did make a small difference. I think it is the part that holds the side of the bumper up. need to take the bumper off so its a job for another day
