I've pretty much convinced myself on getting the painted grill slats for my C4S order. But now I'm starting to eye those black door handles. I'm getting an old school 911 vibe and it's starting to make sense?
Funny how sleeping on it changes your perspective. Will not roll the dice on the handles, but I think I'm still going for the painted slats. Haven't seen a GT silver with these (other than the mockup I did a week or so ago).
I think that the black handles and black slats would look great.
Just what I was thinking. If you're painting the slats, I would keep the handles stock. I would leave the slats black if I wanted the black door handles.
Feel free to remit half of whatever I just saved you.

If you "unpainted" the wheels (staying with the silver theme), you save another $1K+.
What makes me laugh is that on lower end cars from the 80's and 90's, black trim screamed "cheap!". It was ALWAYS a cost extra to upgrade (either stand alone or through trim level) to upgrade your mirrors, handles, etc. to painted.
Now we get painted and pay to get black.
What a world.
In other news...not for me. But it's your car. Do what makes you happy!

The black handles do look better with black slats, I'll admit...

Isn't that the truth! I still struggle with black wheels too, maybe for the same reason. Black wheels used to be seen on cars that had the hubcaps stolen or during winter months with snow tires and "steelies". I know they are popular now, but I don't think I could buy a car with black wheels.
You've already properly chosen a GT Silver over black/red 911; the rest is just window dressing. (but leave the grills black, for the sake of all that is retro.)
Oh, and even better than silver seatbacks is red leather seatbacks. Just sayin...)
