I wouldn't. Even one size wider you're out of the recommended width range of the tire since 295s already run big on 10" wide wheels themselves. It would work, but its never really a good idea to go against the ranges the tire manufacturers state.
Google wheel width tire size chart and you'll get pics of charts that show the possible and ideal tire widths for each wheel widths.
Going wider also means the aspect ratio needs to change on order to keep the rolling circumference the same, which doesn't really happen until you get to a 315 width tire with 30 aspect, which is much too wide for a 10" wheel. Best to stay with what you have. On my widebody I'm going to a 22"x12" wheel with a 315/30-22 tire, but that won't fit under the normal bodywork and there are very few tire choices available in that size.
