Default Porsche experience Atlanta- a great day!

Had a milestone birthday earlier this year, and my wife bought me track time at the Porsche Experience Center at Porsche's NA headquarters near the Atlanta airport. Had a fantastic time! I spent 45 minutes each in a 991 GT3 and 991 Turbo, going through the handling track, the skid pad, and launch control starts with hard braking after (you'll not want to eat before showing up). Both cars were fantastic beasts, and but at the end of the day, I was quite happy to drive home in my humble base Carrera!

Looks like you had a great time. I did the Porsche performance driving school at Barber Motorsports in Alabama back in 2011 for my 40th birthday and it was a fantastic experience.

Jealous. That's on my bucket list. Tougher getting there from Cali (with a family of 5 cuz my kids would demand to go!)

Fantastic place for sure. Been there a couple times now, most recently this past July for my sons 21st birthday.

Here's mine from August, did a Master the Manual day and drove a 2017 S and Cayman GT4. Great times.

I'll be there Monday to burn a couple hours before flying out of Hartsfield-Jackson. Nothing on track. Just the PEC and gallery.
Anything in particular I should check out? Tips? Secrets?

Default PECLA

I went to PECLA last Friday and did the master the manual to work on heel toe shifts on their clutch. Drove the new 991.2 7spd and a GT4, the 991.2....meehh the GT4...OMG I'm ready to trade my 997.1 like yesterday. Car is a total beast and blast to drive, it just begs to be pushed harder and harder. My instructor turned me loose in the GT4 chasing a GT3 way too fun! the only place he could get me was in the straights.

FYI i had the rev matching turned off in the GT4
Also got to sit in a 918 very cool

Sounds like fun.

I'm thinking I need to do this...maybe next year.

Hoping to get there over holiday break - want to do their master the manual class, for sure.
