A previous thread that should provide some info for you re C2 or C4

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...c4-v-c2-8.html

I'm with ditto - I actually live where it sometimes gets slippery and still picked the C2 over C4.

sorry to hear about the issues with that shady dealer but she sure is a nice looking 911.

this coming weekend at Cars and Coffee is Porsche week; they are going to reserve all the covered parking under the awnings up front - come park your new yellow 911 with us!

also - Gaudin keeps hinting that they are bringing something special to show..... my guess is that's it was gonna be the new 911 R.... but my buddy at Gaudin said it was even more special than that.....

come on out - I may go for a nice drive after cars and coffee too.

yeah, the PCA chapter for Vegas does several great drives AND they do at least four full-weekend track rentals each year.

here's a link to their site.... http://www.lasvegaspca.com/

Where is is that at? I will check with the wife to see if the schedule allows.

Soooo....,good news bad news.

First the bad news. Trophy Performane had the car about 10 minutes before telling me they had something they wanted to show me:

Yes, those are 2 separate holes in the transmission! Along with a bunch of other things (yes they double confirmed it is RWD).

So what's the good news you may ask? The dealership is taking it back for a full refund, and sending a truck to tow it back to Palm Desert, CA.

Sad to see her go as I was really fond of the color combo, but now starts the hunt again for another 996. I will post another thread once I find another one.

IMHO there is no bad news in this story and this is nothing but good news.

Props to dealer for standing behind the sale.

Good luck with your search. I'll be glad to be your eyes and ears if you find something in Phoenix.

That is good news. Congrats man. These stories don't always have a happy ending.

Take your time and enjoy the process. This is the right time of year to be a buyer.

Hey Hawk,

Glad everything worked out for the positive without any trouble from the dealership, lawyers, court, etc etc.

Now, we all want to know... what kind of Cabriolet will you be look for now?

1. Year?
2. Color? Ext and Interior
3. Type (i.e. C2, C4, C4S,)
4. options?

Hope all goes well.

Cheers!

I would like to be under $20k, but for the right car, I could probably get up to $25k.
