euro side marker lights
Simple question about 83 euro side marker lights. The marker lights come with the running lights but I've read that they are tied to turn sig lights and should flash along with the turn sig lights. what is correct? thanks.

The ones behind the front wheels flash with the turn signals and the ones in front of the front wheels or behind the rear wheels if added are marker lights that come on with the parking/headlights.

It is my understanding that marker lights on the fender in front of the wheels are for US version cars only???

Thanks for the quick replies. .I'm talking about the lights to the rear of the front wheels. This euro hasn't been burdened with US markers in the front or rear. Gray market car.

G'day, I had not really considered this until just now when I turned all lights on, on my Euro '79, side markers (orange colour ) only came on when I applied the left or right INDICATORS, they "flashed" accordingly.
Of course mines not an '83 hope this helps anyway.

So.. does this mean mine are wired wrong somehow? Maybe to get passed adding US side lights? What would it take to get them hooked up to flash with regular indicators. Sorry if I'm being a pest about this. just an old guy trying to lern.

The wiring that makes them flash is inside of the fender cavities behind the splash gaurds.
All 78-86 928s have them IIRC so just look for a set of spade connectors not connected to anything and test them to see if the voltage changes when you use the turn signals.

1. jack the car up
2, remove front wheel
3. remove wheel well guard behind either wheel.
4. The 'flasher' connections will probably be there, remove connection to lights and reconnect flasher connections.
