Interesting... and even the 718 Cayman S punched very well.

IMO, the biggest disappointments are the M4 GTS and the new NSX. Many other auto reviews mirror the same outcome/feedback.

NSX, all that work and it can't best a Cayman S or hotted up Jag. Honda, what happened to you?

Without knowing what tires are on which car, it's hard to read much into the track times here. Every other test I've seen had the NSX ahead of the M4 GTS.

Either way, great showing for the 718 S. Given that it's a good deal quicker in a straight line than the 981 S, I think we'll see some impressive comparo results in the coming months. Makes me wonder how good the inevitable 718 GT4 will be.

Just based on the price tags of the top cars in this comparison, you have to be amazed by the Cayman 718 S. talk about punching above your weight. Just wow, from a 2.5 liter turbo 4.

And here I thought I'd made up my mind to get a 991.2...

Agree. When was the last time a bmw wasn't a disappointment? E46?
