Just back from a fantastic trip to Spa and Zandvoort. I went in my Cayman R and Talat kept the 964s represented by his signal green 964 wide body C2. Others on the trip were in GT4s and GT3s.

We stayed at the usual place:

The Spa day was dry and sunny. The event was run by SkyLimits. The briefing was.....well there wasn't one! The overtaking rules were....well there weren't any! Once we all got used to it, it was great fun and there were no major incidents.

Zandvoort started damp but was completely dry by the afternoon. This one was run by DF trackdays. We had a very brief briefing but the overtaking rules were exactly the same. Just do want you want! Again, no major incidents and fantastic fun.

As this is a 964 forum I've composed a little video of my quickest lap two years ago and my quickest while there in the Cayman R:

Reminded by the thread running on the 2017 trip to Spa, I thought I'd post a photo of the 2 days I've just done there with a group of about 25 friends in the most ridiculous exotica. £1m on the front row alone...

Default RS day @ Oulton Park

Met a few new faces, and a few old ones (!) at the RS day last Friday.

A few laps in the middle of the day chasing down ex-964 owner Boxsey!

Cheers Buddy. Great day and great evening before. Shame that cup car came along...what with him bearing down behind and Ian blocking the inside, I got a bit confused. Otherwise I would have stayed on for a couple of laps more fun. Thanks for spurring me on...managed to lop 3 seconds off my best previous lap in the 964.

I popped down with my girlfriend in my 964 for the last hour, made me realise I really want to get mine on track once its ran in (currently on 200 miles after a full rebuild at Unit11)! A new set of tyres too actually. Hopefully funds will allow for Anglesey.

Some great cars there, but watching the 4 or 5 964's still out after 4pm were the ones that put the biggest smile on my face! Maybe because I've got one, but they looked great and sounded better.

Default Spa 2017

Freedman and I had a very uneventful trip to Spa this year with no mechanical issues whatsoever on track or off!

Phew!

Here's a video of a couple of laps.....

Nice one Freedman, a 'go car, not a show car' in action!
