Default Tell me about it...

And it only gets worse...had these four as of yesterday...however, I thought the LR Discovery was so cool (in garage getting brakes done, for my wife) that I bought myself one last night.

Someday, mine will be a off-road beast though. Since she caught me watching the Camel Throphy LR years vidoes...and mention something about killing me, if I even came close to doing anything similar with her's.

Mentioned to her that we may have to tear the house down...to make more room for a polebarn...lol.

Brian.

Is this going to turn into another garage thread?

Here's a goal: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...l#post13650215

I will start this by admitting that I don't have not pic, but...
I am a two bay owner that had six cars when I added my '82 5 speed three years ago. Over the past year and a half I got the volume down.
Son moved out, 2 gone: I sold my 275K mile '02 VW Passat with an original clutch and gave him my '11 Jetta.
Upgrade, remained even: Sold an '02 Chevy Blazer with 175K (I got from my father-in-law as I thought the Passat would die) and got a '15 Honda CRV
Daughter moved out, 1 gone: I gave her my '09 Honda Civic
I still have an '04 Honda Pilot along with the CRV. It was never easy getting the 928 out for exercise nor was the idea of running the snowblower.
This reduced volume was nice for a short time. I backed out of Frenzy at the last minute as my son was downsized in CT and had to move him back home. I grew up into Mopar muscle with three Plymouth Barracudas: Sold one as I got one on the road, as a senior in college I sold a '69 Formula S that I was restoring and bought an engagement ring, sold the last one for some cash to buy my first home. For 30 years I was sans toy until I got my '82 5 speed.

I can manage to get eight vehicles under roof in a variety of places, but that's all. Limiting. But this is available a few miles away from me, on the other side of Loon Lake:

I would not only get the barns, but a 1.7 acre "gently rolling parcel w/ filtered lake & panoramic mountain views" plus deeded lake and dock access.

We were casually looking at another "home investment" nearby, and stumbled on a place across the street from another 928 owner. It has six "regular" garage doors, plus an extra-large door to access the RV bay on the end. The three "regular" garage bays on one side of the house are each extra wide and deep, plus have slightly-elevated rear section behind for projects, with one end for the RV. The other three on the other end of the house have the same configuration with the raised real section, but there it has an exercise area and storage/display for the seller's extensive vintage/performance motorcycle collection too. Great location, a couple acres, and on the golf course. It's about 4x what we have in mind for casual spending, unfortunately. Plus I'd need a $$$ budget to "properly" populate the rest of the garage spaces.

K liked the rest of the house and the location.

Quit bragging about your 2 car garage. I only have a carport now. My avatar is from my pre-divorce 3 car garage with lift. Those were the days....sorta.

Just in the process of going from the Cayenne S to a Cayenne Turbo and haven't sold the Cayenne S yet.

Local Porsche mechanic that has been rebuilding the motor on my GTS, drill the oil relief holes in the pistons, was going to buy it for his son. His son decided he wanted a pickup.

My sympathies are somewhat...

Limited.

I have a one car garage.

<--- And three cars.

Yes, the 928 gets it in the summer. Both the 928 and 944 get stored in the winter, and then the Cayenne gets it.

Didn't I read somewhere in the New Visitor thread that the purchase of a 928 will be approved only with proof of proper storage facilities? No specific requirements, other than "as generally regarded suitable by other supercar owners."

Well, I'll have to ask my wife, not only for permission, but also a lot of money. She'd want to use some of it as a cat hostel.

Nah, it is an object of fantasy. We all need some fantasy. Maybe I'll let everyone share it, in another thread. As a fantasy, I don't have to imagine me painting those barns, or fixing their roofs, or - yikes! - pouring money into a hole in the water down at the lake.
