LOVE THIS! I have the GT2 bodykit with Faux side vents and did a self myth buster at the track this weekend. Uncovered (venting into rear fenders with no outlet)I could only manage a 1:32 at summit point. I taped them up and got all the way down to 1:28. Several times I was shifting into a higher gear and was much faster on the front straight. So... they are like big parachutes if you don't have them vented out. (Muffler coolers?)

Not that it would have a lot of +/- on the value, but the yellow is a nice little touch.

Good luck selling it!

This one isn't bad. No stickers, no 997 facelift to hide the headlights...

Best of luck selling it for the asking price - I'd love to start seeing some higher-end 996 sales.
Thanks.

Congrats on the fantastic execution of a well thought out finished product. It looks great, and I'm sure goes like it looks. Not an easy task. And like others have mentioned, it's all about the details. You nailed it.
I can always part the car out and make more money selling all the parts. People who have build porsches before know how expensive all my mods that I have done are. To build the same car in the same caliber will cost you over 100K! I think some one is getting a hell of a deal for a hell of a car!

Also Up for sale are these 19 inch I forged wheels. Were just freshly powder coated glossy black. I think they will also fit a 993. They came off my 996. Asking price is $1,600 + shipping.

Question for those who might know: On OP's front bumper, as on MANY cars I've seen with updated front bumpers, there are small openings on each end below the larger intake opening; it has always seemed weird to me that you can see daylight through 'em. Is there supposed to be a light or duct here, or are they intentionally open? And if the latter, for what purpose?

A number of years ago (too many to confess) I went down this route and lived to regret it. I am not alone. Nothing holds its value more than a solidly factory stock example of the model. I'd start stripping this overly done puppy and get back to what looks like a well-maintained, very nice low mileage example of the marque. I would not be surprised that it would go for the high end of current prices, maybe more. The whistles and bells would easily get you another $20k. Wisdom is expensive.

I wouldn't do anything until you can determine whether it will sell as-is for what you want to get out of it.

I spent a weekend returning a previous car to stock (removed intercooler, supercharger, injectors, throttle body, etc. etc.) only to have a friend basically BEG me to sell him the modified car for more than I could have gotten for the stock car + parts...so I spent another day putting the damn thing back together.

I suspect we have some years to wait before the purists start insisting on bone-stock examples.

5CHN3LL, on several cars (996 turbo front bumper lower splitter included) the openings are there to allow high pressure air to pass through, meant for the brake air guides (clipped onto lower A-arms) to catch and deflect this air to the brakes.

True. I think overall some one will get a bang for their buck the way the car is!!

You've got a dyno sheet to prove the 500hp?
