Question Are these hydraulic lines available? Repair kits?

Hello !

I have a couple of sad-looking lines here, red arrows mark locations of either kinks/dents or deterioration... one is a line from clutch slave to master, the other is an AC line. Are these available anymore? Thanks !

Clutch line should be available new and the AC line I would just have rebuilt by a competent AC shop although it should be available new.

One of the POs of my 81 replaced the AC line in your picture with one long soft line and it has worked wonderfully.

The clutch line is available from the usual suppliers, but I wish I had gone a different route.

Greg Brown has created a new design that replaces the hard line/rubber hose with one soft 'super' hose. Would make taking out the starter much easier. I think it is a much better solution.

My guess is that Roger has these available.

Just my thoughts having gone through this recently.

The clutch line I make repalces both that silly steel pipe that runs between the starter and the oil pan, plus the rubber hose. Works fantastic. Starter is easier to remove, the system is easier to bleed.

I also make a kit for that A/C line. You cut off the existing crimped line and silver solder on two -6 fittings.

I supply a new hose that is Teflon lined....will last long past our lives...

here is a picture of the GB clutch line where it connects to the sway bar mount,
the other end routs infront of the starter then connects to the slave.

These lines are works of art, and you get what you pay for!

I have installed many of the lines for the 5 speed cars. .
to bleed the system, its easy.

Connect the line to the slave,
open the slave bleeder let it gravity run till no air.

Then remove the slave from the bell housing.

Slowly push the pushrod into the slave till it seats,
this is done while holding the line banjo port higher than the bleeder port,
this will push any air in the lines back into the MC.

Hold for 20 seconds then let the slave pushrod extend on its own.
repeat this 3 times then install the slave,
get a helper and do a pedal press bleed. check for air.
the clutch should operate perfectly.

I'm pretty sure Roger keeps them in stock. I'm a huge fan of Gregs replacements.
