Do the KV v3 fit the 993 RS upright?

Possibly. Some modifications or extra parts may be required.
Here's a good thread to read through.

I just did this exact set-up on my car, it fit fine using the bolts and nut plate called out in the 993 PET. I think the 964 PET calls for two same size bolts for fastening the shock to the upright, while the 993 PET calls for two bolts where one's bigger than the other. The kw v3 964 shock has a flange with clearance holes at this interface and I had no issues fitting the 993 bolts in those holes when attaching to 993 rs uprights.

Yup, did the work myself.
If the upgrade is limited to the uprights and v3's original poster mentions, then it should be fairly straight forward. Trickier parts will be mounting the brake caliper on that 993 upright, and having someone reassemble (press) the hub in the new carriers with fresh bearings.
I didn't do anything new, but went quite a bit further than this. Full write-up soon.
