Weighed the car today. With 1/4 tank of gas it's 2640 lbs. so is probably sitting at 2625 lbs at race weight right now. ...Sort of amazing to me as the car is street legal if I pop headlights back in and still has full stock dash with airbags, front carpets, passenger seat, stereo amps etc, AC, stock rear hatch, all rear heat shielding etc. I may bring it down to 2400 lbs and then ballast on passenger side to get better corner weights with my 280 lbs sitting in drivers seat. Don't think I will get that done by Nationals but will be plan for next season.

OK as a tenth sounded like a small increase to me. When I was putting my Re71rs on yesterday for today race I tried me rears on the front to see how they would fit with -1.2 of camber. Lets say that they stuck out a bit and was about 1/4" from the strut. They are 285 30 18 and yes a different tire with not much neg. camber.

That's wonderfully light. Looking forward to seeing the car run.

22 lbs off the back end with Getty hatch! Passenger seat, mount and harnesses out too. At 2575 lbs now. That's just under FP weight minimum.

Im going to take risk and try to fit 315 rear and 285 front week before Nats and test at event. I know its not recommended but car needs more tire.

Slot the rear upper strut mount holes, that will help pull the top of the tire in.

Oh I so love the Polizei look you have going. Do you think that the front tires will rub? I would like to hear back on that and did you roll the inner fender lip?

Front 285 have a ton of room. I did flatten inner lip a little but it wasn't needed. Rear is tighter clearance.

So you are running 18 x 9 in the front but at what offset? Is that a custom wheel or off the shelf? And how much negative camber do you need to fit the tire? You can PM me if you like.

Well Nationals were interesting. Car was OK. Had some minor clutch issues that caused some misshifts into 2nd gear. Car was bit nervous in rear which forced me to drive conservatively. Tall gearing was no help out of slow turns. Overall my driving sucked but car was OK for new build.

My drive out was a nightmare. Truck broke down 175 miles from Lincoln on Sunday night. Paid a tow truck drive to tow my trailer to Lincoln. Dealer fixed truck and all was good for tow home to California.

I think next will be 16x12 inch wheels and slicks. Bump redline a little. Work on suspension setup. Think I need more front bar little less rear.

Sorry dont know off hand as Jongbloed makes these wheels for spec Cayman crowd. I didn't even have to spec wheel for him. I run about -3 upfront and about 2.25 rear. However Id clear with -1 upfront. Remember I have coil overs with camber plates so I have more inbound clearance than a stock car.

Thank you for the input. I will be running Ohlins next year to run in ASP so it's looking good. I'm planning for now.
