I make all of mine on our laser cutter. I did a "black series" for my RS, I may redo it so the frame is black with the birch showing through for the letters. I also did the paint marker trick on the screws. Sorry for the dirty car... I swear I just had this thing detailed.
*Ding* Winner. Plus it saves weight. I usually rock titanium bolts/screws from ProBolt but the ones I have don’t fit this car. Anyone know what size the plate screws are?

Plate screws are whatever the dealer had when it drilled your bumper. The ideal world is to use aluminium rivnuts with black plastic machine screws, but no one does that (well, I do on land rovers). Most I have seen are sheet metal screws, sometimes stainless. The best sheet metal screws are 316 stainless (there are black oxide stainless but those I think are limited to 18-8 stainless) and are available at McMaster Carr or your favorite hardware supplier.
These guys make great plate frames. Perhaps a little pricey but they are fantastic. Simple which I like. No logo just a good billet slim frame. I have used them for years, even on my DD's.
Took an old Brumos Porsche frame, painted most of it black, and then bought some Lizard Green touch-up paint and went to work. Then hit the letters with some enamel. Not the best job ever, but from 5' away, it looks acceptable.
