Just out of curiosity. I drive my car occasionally. So these covers have to be placed on a clean, washed car or else you risk scratching the paint. Also, what about battery tenders? How do you get one on? I have a cigarette lighter one that I use through a slightly opened window. Are the tight fit covers really tight so that you can't sneak the wire up the door and into the window? Any thought?

Feed the cord out the bottom of the door. Close door on the thin cord. No issues.
I have a Porsche brand cover- it's satin on the outside and very soft - almost velvet on the paint side. Fits perfectly. Tender wise I use one I got from the Interstate battery store with a trickle charge feature- Don't cheap out on these. A guy at my office did and almost burned his house down when it overloaded the battery ( on his boat).
I usually run my tender cord through the window and then put the indoor cover on which fits very tight. I just don't want to risk deforming the door seal by keeping the cord running through that area for extending periods of time.
I have a factory Porsche cover for my car and use a trickle charged mounted to the ceiling while the car is parked for the winter. I took the cover to an upholstery shop to put in a ringlet/whole-ring in on the right side where the hood and windshield meet. This way I can fish the trickle charger cable through the frunk and up to the ceiling. Works quite well. I can post a pic later on if anyone wants one.
I use DUSTOP model covers from covercraft. It's soft and has a nice weight to it that seems like it would better protect from incidental garage scuffs. Very functional. Well priced. Extremely happy with this choice after trying several others.

Well...the good overs have a soft lining which when clean do not scratch, or very little...however if you place one of top of a car that has dust/dirt/etc and then reuse later without cleaning you are going to get some scratching, maybe minor, maybe not. Single stage paints are much more prone to scratching than clear.
Oh, glad to hear you you drive your car occasionally.
It only comes in one boring color, but it's a really nice thick/heavy material. Soft on the paint and can protect against inadvertent bumps in the garage.
When my 993 with the aero kit needed a proper fitting car cover, Carnewal had the perfect fit with a 993 Turbo cover. I recently swapped out the stock deck lid for a GT2 tail on the other 993, and the old cover just didn't cut it. Once again it was Gert to the rescue with a 993 GT2 cover. Carnewal has you covered.
