I have a relatively new SoloDL and SmartyCam HD 2.1 in my GT4.

Everything has been working fine for a few track days. Two weekends ago, I noticed that my videos were missing some data.

The Solo is fine -- it's datalogging everything from the CAN bus that it should be. It sees the SmartyCam and reports the amount of SD space free etc.

The SmartyCam also sees the Solo. It's displaying the lap number, lap time and speed, but none of my other data (water and oil temp, gear, throttle position, brake pressure) is showing any longer.

I've disconnected and reconnected the various cables a few times.

Any ideas?

Check very carefully the seven-pin connector on the camera end for bent pins.

Did you update firmware recently? I had issues with the selections for the data stream to the smarty got changed after firmware updates. I always check these settings after updating the firmware.

Are you seeing RPM? If so, I'd check the Configuration of the DL, You might have lost that.

I checked the cables last night and the pins look fine. I took her out for a quick spin and it looks like I do see RPM, which leads me to believe that the data is getting from the solo to the camera correctly. I will check the configurations to see if somehow they got lost.

It's strange that I did not see rpm at the track two weekends ago.

Is it OBDII plug-in or hardwired to the vehicle harness?

Sometimes the J1979 connector (OBDII plug) comes loose...

Jerry, turns out you were exactly right.

Any ideas how this configuration gets lost? 100% sure I was never in this screen before...

Stuff like this is frustrating.

Actually, this is not a bad thing, but it will be reported by Jerry and I.

Nearly every time an RS2 software release is made, the configurations for the ECU's are updated, sometimes adding several channels that weren't there before.

Instead of copying or re-transmitting an existing config, make a new one and transmit when the software update is finished. Often, you'll see benefits.

Hi Peter. Can you elaborate on this some more?

I did upgrade from Win7 to Win10 on my laptop a week or two before the track session where most of my data stopped showing up. I do no recall whether or not there was an RS2 update that I applied.

Let's assume there was. What you're talking about is making a new config for the SoloDL and transmitting it to the SoloDL, correct? From what I can tell, there really isn't anything to configure on the SmartyCam side other than what's in the overlay configuration.
