I gave these a try just for the fun of it - wanted to see what they would look like, also wanted to mark tires for specific position LR/RF/RR/LR. I ordered just those letters then decided to get the NITTO NT01 also. Kind of had fun with the NITTO stickers as they peaked people interest as the yellow color really stood out and made folks wonder what was different about the tires. I had a good time with that, as when asked, "were these different NITTO tires" - I would ( tongue in cheek) reply that they were the new NITTO "YELLOW" NT01's which I had flown in from Japan. Would not let them go to long before I told them about the stickers. But was interesting on how many folks bit.
AS to the stickers, I bought the more economical temporary stickers that are not as thick as the longer life stickers. You can see that they start out a bright yellow but then fade to a dark yellow. Think that the black rubber penetrates the yellow slowly and changes the color. I have had on for about 4 months, wear off can be seen. Install is not bad, but requires a good clean tire, and are a little difficult to stick on smoothly. Just need to take time and be careful. Once on, I used a hot air gun to heat and press onto the tire. Hot air gun made the sticker softer and easy to bond to tire.

No - sorry - did not even think to take photo. The best I have is a month old picture were you can see the color has already begun to darken. But it is an angle shot on trailer - not a full side -

I've seen paint pens specifically for filling in the lettering on sidewalls. I feel like that would be a better option than stickers, no?

May be, but sounds like a lot of time to do so -
Could use to improve color fade on tirestickers also
Do you have more info on tire paint pens??

Looking at video they are installing the heavier lettering. The temp letter I used comes with adhesive back and you just stick on the lettering and press into place. That is why I used the hot air gun, softened lettering made it easier to press on to tire.

I like the Nitto story. Good to mess with competitors in the DE Cup!
