The gurus and sages who know it all have spoken. So if you have an RS "consider getting rid of it!"

What a complete load of BS!

Asterix & Obelix pic is absolutely on point.. Getafix may know a little about p-car values if you ask him...

991 GT3 and RS is last week's fish, soon the R will be too. My RS is programmed to post an Ebay auction for itself as soon as they hit MSRP.

What do you expect when everyone is so tied up in figuring out what their car's future value is instead of what time it can run on a track.

Amen!

WTF- this forum is so different from the .2 forum of 4 years ago. All track and mods and well you know, brag posts from the track. I miss it.

Maybe it reflects a new breed of buyer. One that has been bouyed by the stock market, that lives and dies by the daily DOW, S&P, and Nasdaq indexes. That watches too many car auction shows on TV. No wonder so many "how much is my car worth" threads.

I don't agree with what you're saying. A new breed of buyer, I don't think so. I could be wrong, but I think most who post on here that have a gt3/rs have had others before. So does this equate to a new breed?

I'm a "new buyer" and I still bought a GT3 despite being fully aware of the market and lurking on RL for a few months. Holding value better than my Audis is just a bonus, but if I wanted to make an investment, it wouldn't be in a car, regardless of the +MSRP craze. If I lose 20-30k to drive a GT3 for a couple years then big deal. Pay to play and I feel this particular deal is sound even with the markup and inevitable downturn.

Like every asset that keeps setting new highs eventually reversion to the mean occurs and it doesn't end well

Buy and hold and enjoy

Flippers are like market timers eventually u get caught on the wrong side of the trade
