Hi All, Just wanted to post info from Porsche GT Division Boss Andreas Preuninger interview regarding downforce. Mainly because I saw someone post there is no downforce. Quite the contrary , and I for one would not run a changed wing height etc. on the track at speed without the data to back it up, especially how it affects overall balance ( front downforce). Here it is:
"Aero is always a question of balance, and in an ideal world, a road car would have zero lift at high speed. However, in reality almost all road cars have lift. The Cayman GT4 however, has 120kg of downforce at 295km/h, or around 200kg more than the Cayman GTS, which has almost 100kg of lift at top speed.
“Our original target was zero lift, but we have ended up with almost the same downforce as the GT3,” Andreas explained. “The trick was achieving this without damaging the drag coefficient since the spoilers used to create downforce usually add drag,” Andreas explained. “We used our motorsport knowledge to good effect here, and the fact that we have our own state-of-the-art wind-tunnel certainly helped.”
“In the end, we achieved our goal of positive downforce without an increase in the 0.32 Cd of the Cayman GTS, and this is a significant contributing factor on the Nurburgring, or indeed any track where you lose time if you cannot deploy the power fully in the fast curves,” he said. “The downforce also enabled us to make the most of the sticky Michelin Cup tyres.”

If you do this right I am sold. Looking forward to the end result and appreciate all of the hard work! I have been holding off on a riser purchase because I have yet to see a really solid, single piece adjustable part.

Have you decided how much taller? Any chance of offering a couple of sizes?
Just saw pics of the ones being prototype by FS but those are too tall for my taste and a extension on top of the OEM. I'm after a cleaner look and a bit less height.
I'm not sure if the GT3RS are same finish as the GT4 but saw a pic of one GT3RS were the uprights were painted deviated color on the inside/outside edges...looked very nice. Just a finish idea to consider....

This Photo is from the GT3/GT3RS forum, member fivetwozero...check on the white GT3RS how the edge of the uprights is black while the sides is silver. I could see the sides black and the front and rear edges match to the car color.

-Height will be determined shortly, I will create my own thread where I will show development of this part as well as other parts I will be offering.
that is an illusion of the lighting in the garage. The finish on my parts will be a black textured look like that of the factory part.

No harm done! In fact I appreciate the help, it seems I'm a bit late to the party here haha. Our wing risers will be available for purchase within the next week or two. The height change is about 6 inches with a 5/8in tilt forwards. We had a set run by a few GT4 guys at Sebring and the results were very positive and an immediate influx of interest. Also, they bring the wing up to the perfect height to have clear view out the rear of the car. Here are some more pictures for reference.

I would be interested but it must hit (2) targets.
- Must be a single piece and look OEM. The ones I have seen already do not excite me
- Would like data supporting that for the street and track that it will offer some benefits - certainly would not want it to hinder any thing what so ever at a minimum
