"Does it hurt"...I guess that is a matter of opinion and what level of restoration you are desiring? Brian.
When I started working on this car nobody would give a damn for it. I saw a totally restored 1978 that wouldn't sell for EUR 17,000. I heard it went for EUR 8,000 eventually, way under the price of restoration. This was back in 2009 I guess. Now I did s lot of work on the car, including making a new heat shield out of SS which I thought looked good in combination with the polished SS exhaust tips. The market has changed since then. Now we worry if a chrome/polished SS exhaust tip is original or should be painted black.

A lot of work on my car has been executed in SS, like all brackets that hold the furl accumulator and filter, and lots of nuts and bolts. This will devaluate the car because they should all be original yellow cad? And those great SS solid fuel lines with high pressure flex fuel line running from fuel pump to accumulator made by Pirtek are also wrong. To me these are an improvement, for others these items will all devaluate the car.

Default Totally get what you are saying...^^^^^

Take my muffler for instants. Left the dual inlet, because I thought it was a much better design and helped support the weight of the pumpkin shaped muffler better. Is it correct...no. But, this system is a temporary "driver" solution and I had it from another car. Eventually, I'll put together a original style exhaust system for the big show.

Yep, there are those that believe any change is bad and those that believe certain items were meant to be replaced. Who is right...no idea...to each their own I guess.

I've always loved your car, and thought you were doing a great job on it.

Brian.
