No surprise here.......showroom price may be about $20k over. I road tested a recent trade in and took an allocation at $10k over. Car to arrive next week. This is California, home of MSRP+. Mooty may chime in here and summarize his recent experiences. Sorry folks.......
Just got this from Fletcher Jones: "Hello Bill I have a Red New GT4 but there is a markup of 25 but I am sure I can get that down at least 10k. I am off today and back in. Tomorrow feel free to call me anytime." More scumbags. I basically told them to sod off.
Yeah in November '15 they had ~5 GT4s allocated but wouldn't let me get on the list because they said they wanted to spec the cars and see how they would sell on the floor.
They were polite but no better than other Bay dealers markup-wise.
From what I understand, Porsche is on vacation. Production is done and any more cars to be released have already been built and are sitting until shipping resumes. That probably explains why some will not see their car until September/October......... In the meantime, dealers make do with inventory on hand and try to make the $$$$ out of what's left.
I test drove one 25 plus at DTLA Porsche. Liked the car. not the price. Went to 15k but not worth it to me unless its at msrp. sucks would have loved to drive it home...
