Liftbar usage and plug change
I posted a story and a few pics on the 996 board as I helped my friend Sam with her 2004 C4S cabrio. Check it out:

To make this more 997 specific, I used the bars and jackstands on my 2009 C2S and love both. Seriously, I think this combo is perfect for a home garage. All Porsche parts from Pelican and OEM, not Porsche labeled.... I like Pelican and pretty much just order from them anymore unless I have a high-dollar item and then I shop around.
I used my Liftbars..... just fantastic. I highly recommend them as they are a cheaper alternative to a short lift. If you do consider them, be aware that your jack needs to be low and go high. My Harbor Freight speedjack was barely high enough with a hockey puck (depends on how high your stands are). My Craftsman jack, not in picture was perfect being low, strong, and high. My stands are the Autozone 2 ton and they are perfect and solid.
