The OEM wing is carbon fiber (unidirectional, not woven), so the question is which finish do you want or prefer? The decorative finish on the Vorsteiner wing is a layer of woven CF fabric with either a gloss coat or a matte gel coat over a hollow composite structure. This costs $1500 and you have a spare wing the color of your car in your garage. Or you can get a wrapper to do it in any number of CF finishes (wavy, straight fibers, gloss, matte, semi-matte, colors, etc.) for between $100 and $200. You still have a CF wing in the color of your car, but it's underneath the wrap.
Your choice.

(BTW, some people think wrap is "fake CF" but it should be thought of as a finish, just as paint or PPF is a finish. I have never misrepresented that my CF GT4 wing is "covered in fake CF". It is real CF composite covered in paint, and then wrapped. I have never had anyone turn their noses up or bad mouth my car because it's got a wrapped wing.)

(BTW-II, I think the Vorsteiner stuff is amazing, and really top shelf work. It is an excellent product. I do not post to promote wrap over the "real thing". Quite the contrary actually. But the poster asked about wrapping the wing...)

Do you need to do any drilling or alterteration? Is the hardware supplied ? Any installation videos or instructions you can share before I decide to purchase

Installation is very easy. You do need to screw into the bottom side and hardware is supplied. I do not have directions to share but feel free to PM me to discuss.

I asked Supreme above and did some research on the side. Vorsteiner no longer make and sell cf parts for the GT4.
