Congratulations! Very, very beautiful car. I really like the black roll cage. I have one question though, what CXX stands for? If i understood correctly it has to do with the brake caliper?

Thank you.

A CXX option is any custom request from Exclusive. These options are not available to be selected from the regular menu of options (as appears on the configurator); instead the customer initiates the request by contacting Exclusive, it may or (usually) may not be approved, and if it is granted is generally very expensive. CXX options have included custom calliper colours, custom decals, custom steering wheel marker, custom interior materials, etc. No list of the CXX options is publicly available, and from my experience Exclusive is reluctant to suggest what might be possible or what has been done in the past. It is truly intended to realize a customer's Special Wishes.

Default Let Jo_ker tell us the whole story on the 'Silver' calipers...

Not so fast, Daniel. We still need to have jo_ker flesh out
the story of how his RS's calipers came to be 'Silver'. Was
it really done at Porsche factory? Has PAG approved this
ONE alternative color ('Silver') for the 991's PCCB, deviating
from the traditional 'Speed Yellow' standard for those calipers?

For a historical perspective, PAG did make that alternative
color ('Silver'...& only 'Silver'!) available for their 918 clients!
It was a $2,800 option. The standard caliper color on the
918 was 'Acid Green'.

Back in the day you could order a Carrera GT, PAG also
offered three alternative colors for that model's PCCB
calipers (normally finished in 'Speed Yellow'). The hues
were 'Black', 'Silver' & 'Red'. That option cost a whopping
$8,460 in the CGT!

I would like to see Jo_ker come clean on the story
of the 'Silver' calipers...for authenticity's sake! If
it's now an available option, let's hear about so
that others know it can be ordered directly from
Porsche!

If not factory original color, just tell us. You are
the jo_ker after all!

Eduardo

Thank you Jo_ker for clarifying re: 'Silver' calipers. You are
a stand-up guy!

Must be a new option possibility that allows customers to
order their PCCB calipers in this one particular color. I hope
we hear from others (that are still currently finalizing their
991 RS & inquire about this CXX option) that it is available
to all. And at what cost. And in general, I would like to
also know if any regular 991 & 718 customer can avail
themselves of this alternative color caliper when specifying
their custom order via 'Porsche Exclusive'! Thank you in
advance to all for furthering useful information on this
topic on our Rennlist forum.

Eduardo,

I don't think it is available to all. As I have told you a friend has specified his PTS 911 R and even if he has a strong connection with Porsche, it was not possible to order the car with calipers in another color than yellow.

I think that the first owner of this GT3 RS is either a member of the Porsche/Piëch family or a member of the Porsche board.

Thanks jo_ker. I don't recall seeing "MCXX" listed before, as a code. I wonder if that is for even more special options than just "CXX"!!

For comparison:

I think M stands for "Mehrausstatung" that could be translated as "added equipment" or "option". It is typically German.

Ok. Since Jo_ker is not telling us the name of the first owner
(which is understandable), your list of suspects 928cs is a good
place to start our speculation:

Porsche Supervisory Board

Porsche Executive Board

Then we go to the Porsche Piëch family & their offsprings:

If Loretta Lynch wasn't so busy in her investigation of Hillary & the
Clinton Foundation (), I am sure we could get her & the FBI to
start working on finding out who actually ordered Jo_ker's 991 RS &
get to the bottom of this 'silver' caliper conundrum!

This could turn into a great movie at the box office.
