Default Question for those with carbon dash vents

For those of you that have the carbon fiber hvac vents, above and below the vent open and close wheel, there is a large white dot on top and a small white dot below. Do those illuminate when you have your lights on? I know on standard gray vents they do, but was wondering if it works the same on the cf vents.

Can't be sure without having it in front of me, but I think it's the exact same part as what you call the "standard gray" version. Only the trim (outside perimeter) and the sides of the corner vents are CF.

I thought the inners were covered in a thin leather hence why I asked about the illumination. I haven't seen carbon vents where this area was standard gray

That avatar pic was Monterey Bay, where I did 3 tandem jumps, mostly to amuse my then teenage daughter.

My sport was hang gliding, of which I did 3 years on weekends in the '90s.

Great fun, once got in a thermal for a bit with two red tail hawks off my wing tip.

Grampa now at 69, too late for any more of that.
