At least two of the 911R PTS guys I know also did PTS on their 918...

BOTH guys are documented flippers so who knows...

Eduardo: I was referring to allocation of R's period, not PTS in particular. Sorry for the confusion.

BTW, drove through your neck of the woods last week (Carmel, that is). Nice area. Need to get back there again soon.

I have heard 15 for North America (14 for US and 1 for Canada). Trying to gather a registry for the PTS R's, which would be much more manageable than the PTS RS's I have lost count of.

Congratulations sammyj!!! PTS fashion grey, and SMFW to boot! That's fantastic! I hope you post some photos when the car arrives (including in the fashion grey thread on this site). You will love the colour. Please tell us more about your build. Now that it's fashion grey, are you keeping with the no stickers plan?

FYI you are now able to choose from all colours in the 3M range for stickers, if you request CXX stickers--this opens up the possibilities including some very subtle, classy designs (if that's the look you're going for). You may want to consider Singer or the Sport Classic 997 for inspiration in this regard. It all depends on the purpose (and therefore look) you want. (And going with CXX stripes allows you to do this. Of course, you could also go with the loud, in your face design too, but somehow I don't imagine this is what you want, if you're going with fashion grey.)

*none of the following are fashion grey, but you get the idea.

Also, in response to the number of PTS in Canada, I have heard 2. Probably some of the 918 guys will have more info though.

Thanks, C.J. ! Known flippers, eh? They must be in Florida...

Oh, US 911R allocations? That was a simple process:

a) You just ask all the 918 original owners eligible
for the 'right-of-first-refusal' VIP program if they
want one? Yes...ok you got one! Next.

b) Then, with your left-overs, PCNA decides to allocate
one or two to a few 'good guys' at Rennlist. Ok, C.J.
gets one! Why not you, Nizer? I thought you were an
influential big swinging **** around here!

Quite 'democratic' if you ask me...albeit for a very
select group of Porsche customers.

***

By the way Nizer, I am no longer living California.

And I am no longer eating dry cereal for breakfast:

Instead, I took to the highway until I could find the
actual border for the 'good-old-USA' & crossed it:

I then looked for a house with a three car garage, a pool & a view!
Presto. Welcome to North Scottsdale!

Eduardo

Not big enough apparently, plus I won't pay over MSRP. Besides, I'm clearly out of touch 🙃

Yep, we pay some pretty hefty Luxury Car Tax unfortunately. 911R is AUD$440k... And a GT4 is $240k otr. Safe to say the pricing in other markets makes me jealous...

Thanks! Will be sure to post some pics in the fashion grey thread. The info and pics on Rennlist were instrumental in our decision. Plan to stick with the sleeper look at the moment, but the subtle Porsche script on the Singer does look great. I think we will take delivery and see how she looks first.

Last I heard the "Flippers" are asking $300K for special color (black, yellow, orange)? Is that true?

My colleague is getting his R in PTS to match his original R, also they are giving him the same serial number. Should be delivered in August and I will go down with my kids and take plenty of pics. He is not a flipper, but a well known collector.

Congratulations for getting a PTS R, and I like your choice of color and keeping the car without stripes.

We could start a registry soon.
