If you're looking for high quality Porsche products, check out the Tamiya line from time to time. Not really a fan of this RS, but have picked up a few different Tamiya RC cars for my son when he's older.

I actually race RC cars lol and yeah Tamiya has some really nice kits. They've become pretty collectable as well and that's a really sweet kit! If you're in Southern California or planning on visiting here and have a Tamiya, you're also allowed to run their track in the US headquarters in Aliso Viejo. Another REALLY nice kit to check out if you like the early 911's, is the HPI Cup Racer.
Direct from the Lego website for $299 if you're reasonably patient and don't mind waiting until they are back in stock. I wouldn't have paid $500 for the thing either....
