Default Lego Technic GT3RS

I just ordered mine. Out of stock, but back order should be filled in thirty days.

I was on the fence about getting one but then my daughter sent me a link and a message saying "Dad, have you seen this?" so I did the only reasonable thing; I ordered one. They're currently on 30 day back order from Lego. Once it shows up, it will be an interesting test to see if I still have the patience for assembling a project with 2700 little pieces....

Just took the last one off the shelf in Bridgewater Mall. It will get opened when I get home.

Started when I got home. On step 242, still on the first box of parts. Some of the stuff they did is pretty neat, I can put it together, but I don't think I could have designed it. Name: photo621.jpg

I don't have the kit yet but I downloaded a PDF copy of the manual and I must say that I was slightly intimidated by it, having no previous experience with Lego Technics. I'm relying on the fact that I assembled some pretty intricate plastic models back in the day as well as building power amp and preamp kits, etc. Anyway, it will be fun to take on this little project.

Make sure to watch the first video I posted from about the 3:35 mark until the 4:00 mark so you can do the gears correctly as there is a small error in the instructions. So check that before you go any further since you can still get to them.

ordered online.. I read somewhere saying it can take up to a month to build if you devote an hour a day to it.

Was planning on building it over the summer with my kids.

The real question is, how many of you are going to wrap it with XPEL when you're done?

Amazingly enough I stopped last night at the step that started that assembly! Thanks for the reminder.

I was thinking about that.. Only way I can think of js to individually condom wrap each piece so as to avoid any dirt or dust from the work desk on which it's going to sit..

If you're looking for high quality Porsche products, check out the Tamiya line from time to time. Not really a fan of this RS, but have picked up a few different Tamiya RC cars for my son when he's older.

e.g. they have a Jagermeister RSR heavily reduced right now, only RTR but still good value for less than the Lego RS:
