We don't recommend using a center muffler bypass and the headers. There will be a loss of torque and it will be very very loud. To my knowledge there isn't a power gain with a center muffler bypass. Sound is good and no droning at highway rpms.

Hi Chris,
A tune gives you more power, but isn't necessary to maintain the gains. Not sure where the confusion came wirh that. The CEL due to cat efficiency hasn't been an issue, the people that reported CEL wasn't from cat codes, as they turned off by themselves. The CEL can be turned off in the tune for race cars...

Jamie, I wanted to take the side mufflers off the RS...would having your heads with no side mufflers be unbearable loud?

We can do a package with our new carbon fiber dual cone Airbox if you're interested (assume this is for your 997.2 RS correct?)

Not at all, keeping the valves and the stock center muffler do all the right things with keeping the car quiet around town, no drone on the highway and all the right noises when out getting on it!

^^ I drove Jamie's 991 GT3.
It's not loud with the flaps at all.
I would get the remote clicker option to keep flaps open or closed all the time at all RPM.
Even on the phone with Bluetooth it would be quiet enough I bet.
Open its quite a bit louder than oem.

Congrats! Same deal for the 991 RS, by keeping the valves and rear oem muffler the car stays quiet when you want it to be. The valves opening and closing are more seamless, not so obvious as it is with the stock setup.
The road noise from tires/road is far louder in my GT3 cruising than the exhaust...
