Default Lego Technic GT3RS: Who Bought One?

I just bought mine today. I wasn't going to, but just couldn't help myself. I know most have seen a video or two on them. But here is a really good review of it and it shows how to properly assemble the gears so you get 1-2-3-4 shift patern where as the instructions were actually wrong and give you a 1-3-2-4 shift patern. It's a great video as he does a better job showing the drivetrain's functionability than most of the car magazine sites have done. Also there is a second video that I'm posting as well that shows someone who added components to it that turned it into an RC Car! I'm still debating whether to open it up and build it, open it up and see if the individual number corresponds with anyone's real GT3RS and see if they want to buy it at Auto Gallery "Market Adjustment" price lol or just keep it unopened and let it collect $$$ over time. Leaning toward opening and building it, it's just too cool! I'm actually tempted to get a second one just to display the drivetrain!! Who else got one and have you started building it?

Great Review

Right now the Lego store in the Glendale Galleria has a couple left. Also I checked and Lego Store in Downtown Disney had 2 of them if anyone is nearby to there or taking their family to Disneyland.

Picked one up just because it's the twin to my RS...son is a Lego nut and is dying to crack it open. Not sure when to tackle this thing...looks like some serious work. Lego store couldn't believe how fast they were moving.

Just order online. You'll have to wait but no worries about calling around or driving around to find one. My guess is they will ship in less than a month based on the messages I got. And you can track the shipping as if it's coming from Germany

Do you think I can get at MSRP? I'm willing to go a little over it I can get PTS - does lego do PTS?

No PTS allocations were available when I ordered. Just the premium lava orange. I would think the PTS window is very small.

Some of these comments are hilarious!!! Just what I needed after seeing how heated the 911R thread got!

by Tuesday, they were already sold out! These things are flying off the shelves! I almost wish I got two, one to build and one to hang onto unopened.
