I was there. They did at least 10 pulls...these were the best of the stock and the best of the tuned. They could have used a stock pull that did 303hp peak vs 319 peak tuned to inflate the gains but they didn't...
You're missing my point. What a dyno reads, even with several pulls, doesn't always translate into real world power once heat from track use comes into play.

I challenge anyone to prove that their lap time or even peak velocity entering a corner improved with a simple tune

The closest I have is this:

Both laps are same car, driver, headers (CG-sport) and exhaust (FS), tires.

Left is no Tune, No Intake. Right is Cobb S2 Tune + Intake. The laps are not really comparable given a tiny bit of traffic. If you watch in HD, you can see the acceleration curve being a little steeper for red. The temps for the Purple vid are about 10F lower, so it's not apples to apples. Combing back through the data I see about 2-3MPH improvement going into T12 at COTA. That's still about 15 mph lower than my old RS which had more drag.

To give you sense of what 50+ more HP looks like in a 997 RS. Look at the same acceleration areas. (GT4 smokes it mid corner though).

Challenge taken and well responded! 2-3mph difference is substantial and more than I would have guessed! I only gained 3-4mph moving up from a 987 spyder to gt4, but the straight is shorter. Thanks for the good data!

Oddly, I was at the track the other day with a well driven 7.2 RS, and his peak velocity was no different than the GT4, both maxing out at 133mph going into t1 at thill....

Up to 120ish they are similar.

Hello All, I wanted to chime in with the dynograph I have on file of adding the Cobb Accessport with a Protune to our Race Headers and Valvetronic Exhaust. Definitely potential in the software, but additional modifications increase that potential.
