Updated my wheels to 18's
Just picked up some Gemballa lemans for my S2. Now it's time to shop for tires. Thinking 225/40/18 and 265/35/18. Tire advise?

just be aware of getting a 'semi-compliant' tire known for it's ride quality; something very hard to do today with the 'rubber band approach' so popular today.
Sidewall stiffness is so radical on some rubber that rims suffer from pothole damage and transmit every shock and nibble on the road surface into the cabin. And into the passengers.
I know a guy with a Cayenne GTS with stiff rubber, big rims, and super aggressive suspension and he can't drive the truck on the street. Comes home with his neck sore, his BFF's neck and back sore, and chronic whining from the passenger's sport seat.
be careful what you wish for.... it may mean 'going without' on other goodies

I have 10x18 ET65 out back with 32mm spacers, so effectively ET 33. I'm running a 265 tire and there is more room on the rim, and plenty of room in the fender well to not rub. And my car is lowered a good bit. You can see the fitment in my avatar. Just saying, wider meat won't rub.
