sorry......steering rack brace on anything over 17s not strut brace.......senior moment....

Thats a hell of an upgrade in the terms of weight savings of rotating mass, and lessening the moment of inertia! I think the 996 hollow spokes would always be worth $1200-$1500 currently, and more as time goes on.
Hell of an upgrade? Can you quantify that? I'd go with negligible.

What does make difference to the feel is wider front rims and stiffer sidewalls.

Ken: I did have these on my 993 WB with 295s. Loved the look, but moved to TAs. Actually, a bit more aggressive look than the 993 hollow spokes.

Do you understand the benefits of weight savings of rotating mass, and lessening the moment of inertia? There are also benefits to suspension movement as well as direction change...I'd suggest you do some reading on the subject if you want things quantified.

So how do you quantify the "hell of an upgrade"? Faster 0-60? Higher cornering speed? Better braking? If so, by how much?

I suggest you drive the car with both sets of wheels at or close to the limit and report back what "hell of an upgrade" that is. On the steet, it's not negligible, it's non-existent.

Derek,
Those wheels look great and quite honestly, .200" less poke in the rear, would be negligible from a visual standpoint.

Agree 100%. Was hoping the spacers would make a bigger difference but whatever! Maybe 10mm!

I have an understanding of the well established basic laws of physics, which exist on the street as well as the track; its that simple...If you want it all quantified, I suggest you do the reading/research.

Its not like the the grits that purportedly cook at a different rate from one kitchen to another in the movie, My Cousin Vinnie.

Just installed the 996 turbo II hollow twists this weekend. An 11 lb. weight reduction from the BBS sport classic II's that were on the car. I lost another 8 lbs. by eliminating the rear spacers installed by PO. That's a total weight reduction of 19 lbs., and all of it unsprung weight. Happy with the look and fitment of these wheels as well.




996 hollow spokes on MO33's and B8's




Fitment is pretty darn good without spacers

Like some said they fit just fine. Maybe a tad inwards the fender in the back but loooks like some are using spacers. I might go that route to get a tighter gap with the fenders.

Mine are the hollow spokes.

I have heard that these wheels also came in a 10" size that would work with NB. Anyone know the original vehicle for these 10"?
