Hey it's John again, just to give you some additional information on our Sport Headers...the gains from them in regards to performance are worth the upgrade 100% 10 times over. You can just see the performance gains in the picture of the factory vs Fabspeed haha.

Mike,
Thanks for the response. My experience with a couple guys who went with headers on their 911 and a Cayman was that it was too loud.
How much is the package of headers, cats and exhaust? Maybe I'll give the new a car a couple months before I make a decision.

Anything I put on my car needs to be SMOG legal in California.

Headers on a naturally aspirated engine and a turbo car have no comparison. The headers aon the 991.2 are before the turbos, and the turbos themselves act as mufflers. You will notice little difference in the exhaust note by adding Sport Headers on a 991.2, but more power

Our Sport Headers are $2295 and our Sport Cats (for PSE) are $2695.

In that event you can do headers, but no aftermarket cats are going to pass a visual CARB certification. They will pass a sniff test, but visually you would run into a problem. That being said brand new cars should have a several year grace period on the visual CARB certification test, so you likely will have no issues until that time runs out, then every 2 years (I believe) you would have to take a few short hours to swap your factory cats back on for CARB...unless you know somebody.

You make some sexy parts but those headers will not pass the visual unless they have an exemption number. No smog check for the first six years here but my next porsche will be a long term car and I have no desire to tear into it (twice) every two years.

Hey there, I have a interest some of your products. I currently own a 991.2 Targa 4S with PSE. If I go with your headers, will I notice any difference in sound and performance? Do I have to go with headers and new cats? I am interested in improving performance first and sound second....Thoughts?

All very true in California...such a joyful state for us petrolheads haha. Luckily for us the exhaust on these Porsches are staring you in the face once they are up in the air, so its not very time consuming to swap out once every 2 years. Depends how dedicated the individual is to enjoying the performance/sound improvements.

Our Sport Headers do affect the sound, but very slightly being before the turbos. An educated ear will hear a subtle improvement that is smoother and more refined, but it is not something that can be determined with a video. If you are looking for sound, Sport Cats are the way to go. As for performance, it is easier to show you haha. Here are the dynographs comparing both products alone and then combined. Expect the numbers to be significantly higher (especially in the low/mid range) with optimized tuning upon Cobb's release in early 2017. PM heading your way to discuss further

Considering the turbo back-pressure is being altered thus increasing HP through additional FI, are there are concerns around OEM warranty being voided?

It depends on the individual dealership, and sometimes the relationship you have with them. Technically in the US the dealer has to conclusively prove an aftermarket component caused the warrantied item's failure (Magnusson Moss Act). In addition, there are dealers throughout the states and the world that install and warranty our products, and some even have their own dedicated motorsports division.
