Even in the PTS world, there are some pretty "common" colors floating around. Colors such as Slate Grey 615 (a.k.a Steven McQueen color) and Gulf Blue (with the Gulf car theme) are really popular. Other colors such as Voodoo Blue, Viper Green, Riviera Blue are among the popular choices.
Now the question is, do you want to go with what's popular and perhaps, run into the chance of having another or multiple 911R having the same color, or you dig deep, and try to find a color that is unique and tasteful?

I already know a few owners going with various shades of grey on their 911R PTS. Slate Grey 615 is a great choice!

According to most sources, the 1967 R was delivered largely in Light Ivory, with one each of Fire Red, Tangerine, Lemon Yellow, Reventlow Blue, Cadillac Gold, and Slate grey.
Below are the colours that were available in 1967 on the 911, not just the R. In case anyone finds some inspiration here, there are a number of them that are already on the approved PTS list. FWIW, Fire Red (Feuerrot) does appear on the PTS approved list too, although I do not know if it is exactly the same colour as the 1967 R prototype chassis #2 was painted.
It would be amazing if all 50 came in a different colour, although I am fairly sure we'll see repeats. Hopefully someone with connections, like unotaz or whoopsy or anonymous918, will be able to ask around and find what everyone ended up ordering. I'd love to see photos!!

Yes, I am going have my R in Lido Gold with ultra violet strips. and Unotaz is having his in Bahamas Yellow with red strips. And a big fat Ronald McDonald figure on the hood. And I am having Chuck Norris there instead.
