Default FS: Bosch H4 headlights and Hella bulbs

Hello Gentlemen,

I am selling the Bosch 7" H4 headlights that came on the Red Witch, my 1986.5 928S. When I had the PPI done, the headlights were flagged as 'cloudy'. I was hot to trot to install a new set of 7" Hella H4 E-code headlights. I did, and now have these Bosch units.

The 'cloudy' cleaned right up. I sloshed glass cleaner around inside each headlight, followed by a rinse of hot water, then alcohol. They turned out great, though there may be a water spot or two.

The headlights are Bosch part number 0 301 600 118, They come with the rubber seals for the back side. I also scrubbed the seals. There is no damage to either headlight, no cracks, no discoloration, no major scratches that I could see. The reflective coating inside the reflector looks good. The rubber is not deteriorated on the seals.

I am including the two new Hella H4 bulbs that came with the headlights I bought. They are Hella part number H83140101 H4 Standard 12V 60/55W bulbs. They have never been used.

These 7" headlights are a drop in for 1978-86 928's, to my knowledge. They handily replace the lousy sealed beam headlights that came stock on US 928's. 87 and later guys, you are SOL, in that these will not directly replace your H5 headlights. Take all of this with a grain of salt and do your own research to see if these headlights are what you neetd

$40 takes the headlights and bulbs. I will be at SITM this year and can deliver them to you. Or, shipping will not be a problem.

I will let the photos speak for themselves:

Any questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks!

I was going to ask why you wanted to change these out for the Hella lights. Aren't they essentially the same thing?

Because I'm an idiot.

I thought the Bosch lights were damaged from being cloudy. It never occurred to me until last night to try to clean them.

There might be a difference: The Hella's are labeled as E-code, and Non-DOT. The Bosch have DOT molded into the lower front of each lens. The fluting pattern seems a little different.

Either way, I am happy with the Hella's and will send the Bosch headlights on their way to a good home.

Thanks!
