If you've got the KW's on order why not get them installed when you receive them? Seems silly to wait given the issue you've discovered. Why risk making the problem worse when you've got new parts sitting there?

A bump stop is a compressible suspension component designed to prevent metal on metal contact (and subsequent damage or unsafe driving characteristics) as the suspension undergoes extreme compression, such as after hitting a bump or going into a dip / pothole.

I recently replaced the stock Us Spec springs and shocks on my 31k 1995 C4 and found all my bumpstops were perishing the same exact way as yours are.
Luckily my new Bilstein B8's came with new bumpstops for me to install.
My .02 is get them done when you swap out for the new KW's..
