Amazing, I posted about #15 being for sale locally, one owner with luggage in exceptional condition for a steal of a price and nobody said a word. If I could have afforded it at the time, I would have bought it and let it sit but I already have a few too many that I have done that with. I do not know who it sold to but he couldn't give it away for about 2 years. The last I knew it was under $10k and still not selling and it was a 5-speed in fantastic condition.
I got the fuel injectors installed and started it up ,
she smoked for a bit then it cleared ,
the engine runs good makes good power,
the suspension is nice the brakes are good.
did a prelim alignment so that is going straight,
time for some miles then delivery.
How about a 'few miles' to my place...work on my cars for a week...then I'll 'hold' it for Hoi since he has no space - (I'll exercise it occasionally) and fly you home....works for me!
Just got back from the detailer "Oaks Detail" in West Chester. Looks brand new again after paint correction, Xpel Ultimate to the entire front, then CQuartz Finest for the entire car.
Wow Ed if it was that price, I would have all my cars done.
Paint correction: ~$500-800
Xpel ultimate (only done due to original paint, otherwise it may not qualify for the 10-15 yr warranty) is about $1,200-1,500 for the entire front section of the car, which includes the entire bumper, hood, fenders, and maybe the a pillars and mirrors (have to check the receipt).
CQuartz Finest ceramic coating: $1,000-1200.
I also had the interior cleaned, leather protected.
I have to check the receipt when I get home tonight. All I know is that it cost almost as much as an ok paint job.
It is well worth it for me. Single owner (now 2) weissach with complete up to date maintenance since new and perfected by Stan.
