Who has a 73 RS Replica?

Not pretty in the least, as the car was done when a '73.5 was just another near POS no one cared about. But my cousin did it up right, and it landed in my hands nearly 15 years ago to be pressed into race duty when I crashed my RS America after basically dozing off in yet another boring, uncontested race.
Someday it will end up back on the road, the recipient of the mechanicals (3.4L, great suspension, and 17" Fuchs....among other tweaks) of a Rennlist Legend Car called Ruby. My cousin may even put it back together again, between finishing off a 907, 910 Bergspyder, and the pedestrian restoration of a '69 E.

Hardly. Running about 15th in a field of maybe 25.
Oddest thing about that race was that a guy in a real 993RS was just following me the whole time. Could have easily passed pretty much anywhere. So I just totally opened the door on entry to the hairpin at Sears T7, and off he went. Coming down the Esses I'm thinking how many more laps, and that I'm thirsty. Crossing S/F, I totally blow the turn in to T1, get on the marbles and am into the K wall that was temporarily there during pedestrian bridge construction as part of the NASCAR upgrades. But for that, well, we've seem many cars going off the exit roll into the hillside.
Funny that the carcass is now worth fixing. 43K miles and a clean title!

Converted from RS to ST Outlaw
Funnily enough I went the other way.
Bought a 1970 911T that had been converted to a 911 RS with a 3.2 engine in it and have since converted it to a semi-911 ST Outlaw.
Car is partially complete. Pretty pleased with exterior cosmetic work but I'm about to start on the interior to finish it up.
Aiming to have completely new carpet set, RS door panels and St seats all upholstered with brown leather weave from Spinney Beck (already in production).
Before (RS) and after (ST) shots below...
I'm conscious it'll always be a work in progress. I kept the original hood with the Cibie lights on it so I can quickly swap it if I want to change the look or do some course work...
Cheers,
C.

That ST "outlaw" is awesome looking!!
I have a 67 R tribute, and as much as I've always loved the 73 RS, I think the less is more theory works well with this vintage of car!

Did you get that at Dick Barbour Performance? That store front looks familiar.

I love the ST clone.
At one time I was going to build a clone but I could never get enough money together. Now the car is just too valuable to turn into a clone. I may have blown it.
Right now I'm a 1973.5 Semi-Outlaw.

Three Wheelin'
I lost $500 on your car pcarhiway, well that's if Paul returns my $5000 deposit as its been 5 days since he said he will (actually it will be $4830 as he deducts $170 for admin) shame about the PPI. Hope you sort out that 35% leak and the paintwork - BTW ask Paul to be upfront with bonnet in that "original hood" on backdate doesn't mean original Porsche longhood but actually it means original short hood welded to sheet metal.
BTW big thanks to rennlist community for helping with PPI
