I just took delivery of my 991.2 C4S, which is great and am thoroughly enjoying, but still breaking it in and at around 800 miles. Have a Macan S as well, but 911 is obviously on another plane and an amazing car, particularly as a DD.
Boatracer, I have full radar/laser kits available for the 991.1 that can be shipped directly to you. Check out this thread to see how that system is integrated — PM me for details.
I would recommend a dual system with radar defense and laser. I have the Bell STiR (same as escort but without the laser jammers) and the AL Priority laser defense. A bit more expensive than just the escort but much better laser defense.
Here are some pics.
- LED alert concealed in dash. Radar on left laser on right.
- radar display in rear view.
- 2 laser jammers (I mean parking sensors ) in front and back. Back was put in as LEOs are shooting from behind on occasion.
curious. Has anyone had their ALPs go off while driving.? Has never happened to me.
do you mean giving false signals or have had actual encounters? If by encounters, I have had a few and the ALP saved me every single time, with that said, I haven't encountered any of the new variable pulse guns in yet.

Ok, yea I have had a few saves, most common gun in my area is the Ultralyte, I have had 10 hits with them, 2 more with Kustom ProLite,
is your ALP setting to shut down after 4 seconds so the LEO can get a reading after slowing down? I'm curious if that is too long. Considering going to a 3 second auto shutdown.
I had my ALP set to 4 seconds, but recently changed it to 3 seconds. I think either one is fine just as long as you can slow down to the PSL in the allotted seconds.
