Default RoW 993 Electric Headlight Adjusters

May I ask --

Does anyone have experience with, or does anyone have the wiring diagrams on RoW cars to show how electric headlight adjusters are wired in 993 markets where this option was compulsory?

I am on a mission to retrofit my car with options that it never came with in order to "fill up" the switch blanks. First I added back rear foglights. Then, I added back the footwell lights. Now I wish to add back electric headlight adjusters.

I have a parts source who is telling me I need to order the following parts. However I am unsure if this listing is complete --- I would like to look into the wiring aspects of it --- harnesses, connectors, etc.

1. Electric motors for the leveling system: $236.00 each (2 needed)
2. Dash switch: $72.95
3. Switch trim in black: $3.75

If I can add this option back to my car, then my mission to fill up all the dash blanks is complete!

Thank you.

Litronics did not have height adjust on mine, retrofitted them.
But the switch on the dash was there.

must be clear on the electric diagrams.
First, I would check if your harness has the adjustment plug behind the dash.

The electric motors are hella, and cross referenced on VW Golf. I remember got them new for $60 both.
So source those from VW. but someone has to give you the reference on them, I lost the reference.
The motors go inside the headlight, and mount bayonet style.
the 3 electric cables from motor hook on the back of the headlight electric plug connection.
Got to know that it was pins 7/8/9 of the headlight plug, from the switch on the dashboard.
You activate the switch whilst hooking a voltmeter to pins 7 and 8, and 8 with 9.
I am not 100% sure on your car they are the same pins, because on my ROW , I had a Litronic harness from trunk to headlight

Thank you Geolab, you are very kind to share this information, even with a lost 993. I can appreciate your living vicariously through others.

Would you remember which VW Golf this was? Would it be, perhaps, a Mk III VW Golf? Meaning the kind below -

Thank you Geolab for finding that! I will continue researching to find the hella ref as well -- you have been an immense help.

For those that are following this thread, Tore B also let me know privately that the TLIGHTS HID ballasts also fit inside the headlight housing even if the electric adjusters are fitted. He also kindly shared the electrical diagram with me, which I have attached to this thread as well.

I will now pull apart the trim piece around the headlight switch at my next opportunity to see if my car is fitted with an electrical connector already to plug into the levelling switch.

Hi Geolab,

May I ask from which website you are finding bosch 0307852311 new for EUR91?

I have tried to cross reference VW golf electric adjusters can I come close but am unfortunately able to find an exact match. I see from aliexpress two options -

One is below, which, when you look at the cross reference numbers, references 037853303, 037853304, and 037853306. This is supposed to fit VW Golf MkV

The second option I have found below puports to fit VW Golf Mk IV, but no cross r ference numbers are supplied.

stick to the number I gave you last year

https://www.oscaro.com/correcteur-el...11-38081-700-p

http://www.ebay.de/itm/LWR-Stellmoto...-/262299668897

to get the reference number you go to porsche parts list, and you copy the porsche number 99362420900, after, you go to bosch ecat site

http://www.bosch-automotive-catalog....product-search

then you click on the right on external number and you paste the porsche part number,
it will give you the bosch equivalent reference number.
