Why didn't you push the ejection seat button?

That's my wife narrating.
After 38 years of marriage, she has gotten pretty good at busting me

The took away the black and white curbing in the climbing esses too. I used to use that as a visual aid for my students.

This is all good. While a few of the track level landmarks are still in place (turn in for T1-T2-T3, for example), the sight pictures and forcing folks to move their eyes UP to see THROUGH them will help them drive this place better, faster and safer.

Trust me, there are landmarks eye level and above that MORE than make up for the loss of those track level ones that are now "missing."

This is going to be fun!

I love that they knocked down all that 8" tall square curbing and replaced it with standard track curbing. Lap times could drop significantly.

AER is the first race on the new pavement. See some of you there?

If you look at the Lake, you'll end up there!

But I stare at the tower when going through T2 and I don't end up there. Hehehe.

I miss the concrete patches. I predict passes in the uphill esses.

Is it my imagination or is the entry curbing to the bus stop 'lower' and is there a bit more right curbing coming out of the bus stop and into the carousel? I'm looking forward to it! That said, I loved the 'old' Glen. Now that said, I loved the 'old' VIR but I love the 'new' VIR just as much!

We will have a great track walk on 5/20 at the Zone 1 48 Hrs. I really enjoy taking people on that walk. I have some great new handouts for it too!

I'll be there 3 times in May. It will be a good month!
