I can't say that I blame you and, FWIW, I don't think there's anything negative that anyone CAN say about the PS2s (outside of the price). I've had them on or bought them for a number of cars. They're a phenomenal tire.

If you're looking for another name, you might want to give some thought to:

- Badassinum;
- Platisatin (check with your doctor before taking as frequent use may cause obesity in pregnant women, pink elephants (if taken with hallucinogens), infertility in post menopausal patients, and death;
- Thankfully Not Black or Silver; or
- Electric Boogaloo (might want to do a trademark check on this one first)

Great looking wheels! Oh, and no need to credit me if you use any of the names I've suggested.

When/If they ever kill off the PS2 line, then I'll **** and moan and find a new tire to use
Currently I daily a Michelin Super Sport on the 22" size and even though the cost is pretty close to a set of 19" wide-body.... I'm very satisfied with the tire, I've always been fond of the Michelin PS2 and Super Sports.

the michelin PS2's on my C4S have 9K miles and still have 75% remaining tread. why have they been difficult to find? - some fellow RLers having tough time locating a set.

I think it's timing. They are a popular high performance tire and the type of car that you typically find them on is usually driven in the warmer months (and of course that is when the tires are meant to be used).

In my experience trying to get a set in the middle of the summer can be a challenge, but if you need to buy a set in the winter it's a bit easier to find them. I attribute that to less people using them and therefore needing to replace them at that time of year.

Wheels came today, but work kept me from getting the car dropped off in time for them to get installed today

Swung by on the way home to take a peak and they are sweet looking. Not sure if I'll like the look against a black car though. Might be too dark for our tastes.

Hmmmm... Wonder if they'd fit the P!g? That color would rock against its dark blue. Maybe I should give Eli a call Monday to see about some RS Spyders in this color

By PIG do you mean 917????

These will fit the 996, 928, 944 and 993 so you are in good shape all the same..

Can't wait to see photos, outside in the sun it will transform the look, inside they appear to be darker...

P!g is the pet name for the Cayenne. I have a 958 diesel (the 996 is hers), ordered it with the black trim, then installed the Turbo bumper and black headlights and tail lights. A set of the 20" RS Spyder wheels in this color would look spectacular against it's Dark Blue Metallic

I can't bring myself to stomach the cost of them (before any refinishing)

Bring them in or ship them in to us in So Cal (South El Monte).

The current lead time to strip, polish, clear and hard bake finish is 2-weeks.

Feel free to call for more details,

We will be open again Monday!

Finally! Sorry for the delay.

I'm still not sure the coloring suits our taste on a black car, but they look amazing.

I'm shocked how much difference .5" of width on the front wheels makes to the steering feel. I've experienced that before, but that was a 2" jump. Much crisper

Yes the wheels are the only clean thing about the car. Bite me
