I do feel like values on these cars fluctuate wildly depending on condition, mileage, and maintenance. To the right person, it could be worth closer to it, and certainly there are those who will walk in off the street and see what looks like a good priceon a 911, and drive off in it without doing their research.

I don't know, that walmart cupholder, and the CF intake with black douche wheels kind of ruin a nice package. I guess all that stuff can come off, and be sold here.
Very nice price!

The cup holder is easy and cheap to get rid of. The tail lights, wheels, and intake will run you a fair penny which you might get some back by reselling them.
I'm going to be in SFO next week and am tempted to reach out and see if I can have a look. For probably $23k at the asking price and after demoding it (figuring something back for the wheels and tail lights), I'm not sure it's worth it. Especially with having to ship it back home.
If it was a local car the price would be more appealing though.

Yes, cupholder delete is a must and will take all of 10 seconds and cost $0.
The douche wheels look good to me, although I'd probably sell them and put on a set of 18" wheels and probably go to silver.
I'd likely leave the intake, unless it was tripping CEL. My '99 C4 aero had a similar intake but came with the stock unit boxed up in the frunk. I put the stock unit back on right off the bat, but I think it actually sounded better with the aftermarket intake.
As for the LED tail lights, once you have them on your car, you won't want to go back to the dingy stock units. I have them on the 996tt, and although I don't think the stockers look bad, the LED tail lights just make the car look so much more updated. Frankly, I would still have the stock tail lights on my 996tt except it came with blacked out tail lights that I really didn't like. I decided to try the LED units and once I put them on, I absolutely cannot fathom going back to the stock tail lights: it's Claire Dunphy vs. Gloria Pritchett.

I was considering buying this car - it's in the town where I live, and I test drove it a couple weeks ago - The original ad didn't have a lot of details, so to help the 996 community, I decoded the VIN, drafted a new ad and sent it to the seller.
If anyone is interested, PM me for Rennfax info.
By the way - I ended up buying a different 2001 996 - a Seal Gray C2 cab that was on Craigslist in Menlo Park.

I don't think the wing is factory because it doesn't have the middle brake light blank plug. There is clearly a red middle brake light in the pic.

I love the interior, but that is no $37k car for a lot of reasons. Good luck to them though.
